In our previous newsletters, we have talked about all things reunion… schedule of events, registration, the store opening, cemetery tours, genealogy classes and numerous other exciting things taking place Nov 2-4.
So, today let’s talk about…THE AUCTION!!
The Silent Auction will take place on Saturday evening at the German American Club. Like items will be grouped together for easy viewing and bidding will begin promptly at 4:00 pm. Closing times will be staggered by group with the final group’s bid ending at 6:30. You or your proxy (if you can’t attend) must be present to win. Easy payment by cash, check or credit card. Winning bidders will take their items with them that evening. A list of auction items will be included in your registration packet along with detailed auction rules for last minute review.
The auction committee has been busy the last several months gathering a variety of interesting and rare items, with more to come. So far, we have:
- 6 items that are 100-150 years old
- unique, one-of-a-kind artwork
- Diersburg collectables
- Roederer memorabilia
- culinary delicacies
- and… what’s more Kentucky than a Bourbon Basket!

Preview the auction items on the website at your leisure before the reunion and start making notes of the items which 
“catch your fancy” so that you are ready to place your bid on Saturday evening. Click Silent Auction. Check often, as more items will be added. Get ready to bid and hopefully TAKE HOME A NEW FAMILY HEIRLOOM!!

The final proofing is finished and it is ready to send to the printers. Orders must be in by August 30th. That’s only a week away! We are so excited about this item.
