Now is the time Louisville is deep in all the Derby festivities… picking out that perfect hat, making Derby Pies, rolling bourbon balls and harvesting all that mint for the juleps! Did you know that nearly 120,000 mint juleps are served at Churchill Downs on race day? That’s a lot of bourbon!
Don’t let April 30th slip away while you are knee-deep in all of those Derby Party preparations. The price for our exciting 3-day event goes up on May 1st. This will be your last chance to take advantage of this special, all-inclusive $85 price!
Many of you have expressed your appreciation for pricing options for those unable to attend all 3 events. We are doing our best to accommodate as many people as possible. Here is the pricing starting May 1st:
- $80 – Friday / Saturday (Meet & Greet / German Feast)
- $60 – Sunday (Day at the Races at Churchill Downs)
- $110 – All 3 events ($70 for kids age 3-12)

Registration Forms – Please fill out the registration form, even if you will be unable to join us or not sure at this time. Click Reunion Registration. These forms will keep the Family Tree database updated. We need YOUR help to keep it current.
Heirloom Cookbook – Many thanks to those who have submitted recipes, but we still need many more of those family favorites! We are not quite halfway to our goal of 225. Please submit to Patti at patti.jako@gmail.com. We have received quite a few with accompanying stories, making those yummy recipes come to life before they are even prepared. Share your stories of how your family still cooks grandma’s special meatloaf at Sunday family gatherings, or the day you won a blue ribbon for your cherry pie at the county fair. Deadline for submissions – June 15th.
Out-of-towners – Book your rooms ASAP! The closer we get to the Breeder’s Cup, the less likely rooms will be available. Remember there is no deposit required, and you can cancel up to 3 days prior to reservation. It’s a no-brainer! Click here for LODGING.
